Composting is a process using heat, bacteria and worms to 'digest' waste organic matter and turn it into nutrient-rich compost which can be returned to your garden as fertiliser.
Click here for a free booklet on Composting, Worm Farms and Bokashi that's produced by Hasting's District Council, Napier City Council and the Wipe Out Waste programme. Alternatively you can pick up a printed copy from 809 Karamu Road, Hastings.
Here's another really cool guide to creating your own compost, produced by the team at Create Your Own Eden.
