We're always looking for enthusiastic people with a broad range of skills to help at the Environment Centre. Our immediate needs are for people for the following roles:
Customer Service Assistants
Assist members of the public with their enquiries by phone, email or face to face. Some cash handling experience is preferred as this role entails taking payment for services and the sale of goods. A reasonable level of physical ability is desired as some lifting is required. Shifts are by arrangement, usually once per week for 3 - 4 hours.
Website Management Assistants
People with skills in research and content writing are invited to assist in the ongoing development of the Environment Centre website to ensure all relevant information is populated and kept up to date. Training on our particular platform is provided.
E-Waste Deconstruction Assistants
Help us to process electronic waste at the Environment Centre by dismantling and sorting the components of electronic waste. This position requires a reasonable degree of fitness as some moderately heavy lifting is required, and attention to detail. A focus on and understanding of safe work practices is essential. Tools and a comfortable working area are provided. This position is flexible to suit, although a regular 3 hour shift per week is preferred. The shifts are from 9 - 12pm and 12 - 3pm
